This project was to replace and render the existing timber cladding on the front of the property. This project required the use of a render carrier board ( Aquapanel) to be fitted to the existing timber studs. Previously the use of metal mesh would have been used over the timbers then 3 coated with render, this system was prone to cracking and the introduction of render carrier boards became a superior system for the application of render over studwork. Once the render boards are fitted the application of a flexible render basecoat with mesh is then applied, followed by a render primer then a top coat of 1.5mm silicone render. Transforming the existing tired cladded panels into refreshing additions to the front elevation.
